Chad Horst

Chad Horst joined the Dirty Birds coaching staff in 2022, bringing the playing pedigree and coaching philosophy of an upstate New York lacrosse upbringing to the program. Chad played his collegiate lacrosse at Nazareth College in the late 1990s and early 2000s — during the era when Nazareth was a perennial Division III powerhouse — and has carried that championship-caliber background into every level of coaching since. After moving to the Atlanta area with his wife and two kids in 2018, Chad has spent the past several seasons with the Cherokee Youth Lacrosse program, building a reputation for steady, fundamentals-first development at the youth level. With the Dirty Birds, Chad is focused on player development across the youth teams — bringing a calm, technically sound, and deeply experienced presence to the sideline that complements the program’s competitive culture.
